Our event, much like the TEDx movement, is incorporating the local community at the heart of the event. We will ensure that the local community make up a significant proportion of speakers, performers, and audience members. We will also ensure that our own students, staff and teachers are involved intensely in the process. The organizing committee is made up of 15 students from the United World College East Africa, Moshi Campus. Since we are all minors, we are being supervised by teachers from our school. Moreover, we are being mentored by a team of external consultants that are connected to the community and strive to create a lasting TEDx experience.
